Nicolas Pepe might’ve just dropped a major hint that he’s returning to Arsenal’s starting lineup this afternoon.

The Gunners are gearing up to welcome Brentford to the Emirates Stadium as Mikel Arteta’s outfit look to bolster their prospects of qualifying for the Champions League.

With Gabriel Martinelli suspended, the Spanish manager has a bit of a dilemma in regards to replacements.

However, it looks like Pepe might be set for a comeback at Arsenal.

The 26-year-old hasn’t started a Premier League outing for the Gunners since way back in October.

Pepe, who earns £140,000 per week, seems to have lost his way in North London following a £72 million transfer from Lille in the summer of 2019.

But hours before kickoff, the Ivory Coast international uploaded a Premier League montage of himself on Instagram in what could be considered a sign that he’s in Arteta’s starting XI against the Londoners.

Despite only managing nine Premier League appearances this season, no Arsenal player has set up more goals than Pepe.

With five assists across all competitions, he remains the Emirates Stadium club’s most creative player this season in that respect and having only scored two goals since Boxing Day, Arsenal need all the creativity they can get.
