Arsenal are believed to be ‘seriously considering’ letting Jakub Kiwior leave the club in January with AC Milan chasing a deal for the Pole.
That is according to a report from 90Min, who claim that Arsenal are giving real thought to letting Jakub Kiwior leave the club on loan.
It’s stated that AC Milan are ramping up their pursuit of Kiwior as they seek to add another centre back.
Milan would like to bring Kiwior in on loan with an option to buy in the summer, but may even be open to making that an obligation to buy.
Kiwior has previously impressed in Italian football with Spezia, which earned him his £20million move to Arsenal in January of this year.
Arsenal are ‘seriously considering’ letting Kiwior go but would need to bring in another centre back in order to strike a deal with Milan.
Jakub Kiwior leaving Arsenal would be a big surprise
Milan may well want to bring Kiwior back to Italy but we would be stunned to see Arsenal let him go in January.
Arsenal are already down two defenders right now with Jurrien Timber and Takehiro Tomiyasu missing through injury.
The key point here is that Timber and Tomiyasu both have outstanding versatility.
Both players can operate all cross the back four and provide Mikel Arteta with real flexibility throughout the back line.

Kiwior can’t play on the right, but we have seen him deployed in his natural centre back position as well as at left back.
Arteta started Kiwior against Luton Town in midweek and we can imagine that he would strongly consider doing the same against other teams who play direct and thrive from set pieces.
Kiwior is clearly highly regarded by Arteta having suggested that he has ‘incredible potential’, and his playing time should increase with Tomiyasu now out of action.
We just can’t see why Arsenal would let Kiwior go given the defensive injuries right now and believe that the Gunners should look to keep him – especially if it’s an initial loan on offer.
