Mikel Arteta has told Football London that Arsenal are working on deals to tie down Bukayo Saka and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
Saka and Aubameyang have just over a year left on their contracts at Arsenal, and there are concerns about the futures of them both.
Arteta admitted that keeping them both was a priority, but Arsenal also have other contract extensions that they are working on.
The Gunners want to ensure that David Luiz, Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari all stick around until the end of the season.
But Arteta admits that keeping Aubameyang and Saka around will be hugely important.
“We are trying, as a club, to finalise the deals that are more urgent and are a priority for us,” Arteta said.

“The ones you are talking about [Bukayo and Auba] – they are both really important, not just for now but for the future of the club as well and if the club has something to announce, they will do it in the right moment.”
Saka looks considerably more likely to stick around at Arsenal than Aubameyang does currently.
Saka has emerged as one of Arsenal’s brightest prospects after a brilliant breakthrough season.
Aubameyang, on the other hand, is reaching the twilight of his career – and he may well be wanting to play in the Champions League, while he is still very much at the top of his game.
