Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has suggested to Football London that he is ‘really happy’ with Dani Ceballos, even if recent reports have suggested that he is not at all convinced by him.
The Sun claim that Ceballos has failed to impress Arteta, and Arsenal now won’t be signing him at the end of the season.
But Arteta’s latest words about the Spanish midfielder seem to suggest that he is actually pleased with the Real Madrid loanee.
“I am really happy with the way Dani’s progressing,” Arteta said.
“I know how tough it is to come from Spain and join this league. As well, he had a really tricky injury while I was joining the club but I used him in different positions and his attitude is top.
“He loves football, he breathes for football and you can see that with every reaction on the pitch. Every time we score a goal, you look at him and it’s like he’s been here for six years, the way he feels about winning a football game and I love that about him.”

Ceballos made a blistering start at Arsenal, but he has never really kicked on after making a big initial impact.
The 23-year-old has failed to hold down a starting place, with his performances drawing mixed reviews.
Ceballos did score the winner in Arsenal’s most recent game against Sheffield United, which could help him earn a spot this evening though.
Arsenal are due to take on Norwich City, as they look to make it three wins on the bounce.
