Mikel Arteta has told Football London that Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka is always asking to stay behind and do extra training.
Saka scored and claimed an assist as his reputation in the game increased once again during Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Southampton last night.
The youngster seriously caught the eye, with the Gunners picking up an eye catching win at St. Mary’s.
And Arteta praised Saka’s performance and attitude after the game.
“Bukayo is doing really well,” the Arsenal boss said.
“He’s all the time asking to train more to improve in areas that he can do better. That was certainly one, producing the final bit in the box to score or assist.
“He’s doing that much more often. If he’s able to do that with the intelligence that he has, with the work rate that he shows on the pitch and with the capacity that he has to understand the game in different positions, then he becomes a really different player.”

Saka has certainly been one of the biggest success stories from Arteta’s time in charge at Arsenal.
The teenager is rapidly becoming one of Arsenal’s most important players, despite his tender years, and he just seems to be going from strength to strength.
Crucially, it seems that Saka has remained grounded despite his success of late – and that could be key for him, as he looks to fulfil his potential.
Saka and Arsenal will next be in action at the weekend, when they take on Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.
