Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has told the club’s official website that Thomas Partey is so upset about his injury problem.
Partey has picked up yet another injury issue at Arsenal recently, and Football London say that he is now set to miss the next three games.
Partey has rarely struggled with injuries throughout his career, but he has found it difficult to put together a run of games at Arsenal.
And Arteta admits the midfielder is very upset after the latest set-back.
“He was devastated, we were all devastated because we know the importance of Thomas and we haven’t had him since we signed him, we haven’t had him in three games consecutively,” Arteta said.
“I think he has only played 90 minutes once since he has come back from injury, so it is a big blow for us but he is adapting to the league, he has been very unlucky as well and he is very frustrated because he is a very competitive guy who wants to feel important and be important for the team and at the moment the injuries are restricting a lot of game time for him.”
Partey’s failure to stay fit is a frustration for both player and club at the moment.

The summer signing clearly adds class to Arsenal’s team when he is available, and he is an important part of Arteta’s starting line-up.
Without him it will be interesting to see who Arteta actually selects to play this weekend against Leeds United.
Arsenal could opt to bring Martin Odegaard into the team in an attacking change, but the more likely choices to replace Partey seem to be Dani Ceballos or Mohamed Elneny.
