Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to Unai Emery’s comments about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of their second leg Europa League showdown at the Emirates.

If Arsenal are to knock Villarreal out of the Europa League on Thursday night then they will need Aubameyang at the top of his game.

Emery knows exactly what the Arsenal hitman is capable of, as he told his pre-match press conference that he is like a ‘killer’ in front of goal.

Whilst Aubameyang scored for fun under Emery, and the £56 million player (BBC Sport) continued that for a while under Mikel Arteta, he has since looked the shadow of the player that was competing for Golden Boots in previous seasons.

He was unable to start the first leg because he had just returned from illness, but after he scored against Newcastle on Sunday, you’d expect him to start the second leg.

It will be interesting to see if Emery has anything special planned for the sharp-shooting speedster because he can be the difference between Emery leaving the Emirates with a smile on his face.

Or his own manager sending the messages to critics that he is the right man for the job by progressing himself.
