Mikel Arteta has defended Ben White after recent claims that have questioned his character in and amongst the England squad.
The Daily Star’s Jeremy Cross first broke a story that stated that the Arsenal defender had been asked to depart the Three Lions camp at the World Cup, after a bust-up with Steve Holland.
It was mentioned that the altercation between White and Holland took place after the former was unaware about some key information regarding his personal statistics.
The report had also revealed that Steve Holland was puzzled after the 25-year-old was not particularly aware about the United States side, which England were preparing to face ahead of their 0-0 draw.
It was also claimed that the former Brighton centre-back struggled to gel with his national teammates, and was far from happy in Qatar.
However, Arsenal responded to England’s statement about Ben White leaving the camp by lending their support to the in-form defender by saying, “We’re all with you.”
As a result, one still remains in the dark about whether the £50 million man (via Sky Sports) left the World Cup squad due to a disagreement or a personal matter.
Arteta responds to White situation

Mikel Arteta was quizzed about his thoughts on Ben White and how his character has been questioned in recent days after he left the England squad for the World Cup.
“We can’t control that. I know who Ben is, what he needs, what his character is and how happy we all are to have him at the club”, he told journalist Kaya Kaynak of Football.London.
Arteta lending support to White
Ultimately, credit must be afforded to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta for backing Ben White after several critics have slated his professionalism recently.
The Spanish tactician has decided to support White all way, who has been out of his standout performers as the North Londoners sit atop of the Premier League table.
