Mikel Arteta has raved about Arsenal youngster Eddie Nketiah at his latest press conference, which was covered by Football London.
Nketiah was selected to lead the line for Arsenal against Manchester City on Wednesday, and he was one of the few players to come out of the game with any credit.
The rapid forward caused City’s defenders some problems on the counter attack.
And Arteta has claimed that he was so impressed by Nketiah’s display, as it belied his tender years.
“I want him to keep doing what he’s doing,” Arteta enthused. “The way he played last night against those players, in those difficult conditions, for me is extraordinary at his age.
“He has an immense personality to play, confidence, he’s powerful and is developing in every area I think. I have a lot of faith in him.”

Arteta has shown great faith in Nketiah since taking over at Arsenal, and clearly rates the prospect.
Nketiah actually spent the first half of the season out on loan at Leeds United, but Arteta recalled him and he has played fairly frequently since returning to the Emirates Stadium.
Nketiah has now made eight appearances for Arsenal this term, scoring on three occasions.
