Mikel Arteta has shared that Gabriel Martinelli has an ‘incredible’ attitude for Arsenal when he’s not playing, as he told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
The Arsenal boss added that Martinelli is the ‘perfect example’ of how to conduct yourself.
Recently, Martinelli has started to become a regular for the Gunners and is starting to showcase the immense talent he has in his locker.
The 20-year-old’s performances have also landed him a maiden call-up for Brazil.
Putting all of that in mind, Arteta was full of praise for the progression the young gun is making at the Emirates.
“I think Martinelli is the perfect example,” said Arteta. “A player that struggled to get some minutes.
“But what he did is ask what he needs to do more. Try to evolve it. Try to train more and ask the right questions. Have an incredible attitude when he’s not playing.
“Then, when he has the chance, to show it on the pitch and no talking outside of the pitch.
“He talks on the pitch. Look what he has done and now he’s going to play with the national team.”

Arsenal have the youngest average age squad in the Premier League, but they aren’t showing it out on the pitch.
Despite that inexperience in their squad, the club are starting to head towards a direction fans have been craving for in years.
Champions League football is in the hands of Arteta and his players because they are one point ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United, with three games in hand.
On Wednesday night, the Gunners host Premier League title-chasing Liverpool and this will be a great example for Martinelli and co to really send out a statement of intent.
