Arsenal’s Tim Akinola has been spotted in first-team training before Mikel Arteta’s side’s game against Leicester City tomorrow.
Called up
The central midfielder is yet to make his senior debut for the Gunners after arriving on a free transfer in 2020.
But it seems that he is making solid strides behind the scenes.
Akinola was spotted alongside Joel Lopez in Arsenal first-team training yesterday, as Arteta called some of the club’s best under-23 players into the senior session.
Could he feature?
It now remains to be seen whether the 20-year-old could be called into Arsenal’s match day squad tomorrow.
But even the exposure to playing alongside some of the Gunners star men is sure to do his development good.

Arteta has provided a pathway for some of Arsenal’s brightest youngsters to break through.
The Gunners have one of the most youthful squads in the Premier League, and the likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka are now playing key roles after coming through the academy.
Akinola certainly didn’t seem fearful during the session, as he was pictured battling with star man Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
And if he continues to feature in senior training it seems only a matter of time before he does get his opportunity in the first-team.
