Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has raved about Martin Odegaard in Football.London ahead of the match against AFC Wimbledon.
Odegaard, who joined Arsenal on a permanent contract from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, scored with a brilliant free kick against Burnley in the Premier League this past weekend.
The Gunners won 1-0 at Turf Moor.
Arsenal boss Arteta has spoken highly of the 22-year-old and has outlined what he does so well that other players are scared to.
Arteta told Football.London: “I think we are building some leadership in the group. It’s a really young group, with a lot of players under 23.
“Martin is the captain of the national team and Sambi was the captain at Anderlecht.
“Martin has this capacity to do that with his talent, taking the ball in moments where others probably refuse to, but as well with his attitude, his rhythm and the way he presses and puts people under pressure.”

Martin Odegaard is a gem
Odegaard spent the second half of last season on loan at Arsenal from Madrid.
The Norway international playmaker clearly made a big impression on Arteta and his coaching staff that the Gunners decided to bring him back on a permanent deal.
The Norwegian is a very good creative player who has established himself as an important figure in the Arsenal team.

Now, Odegaard does not give too many assists, but he is the guy for pre-assist.
The former Madrid youngster is very good at finding others and is very clever with the ball and with his passes.
Arsenal have a gem in Odegaard.
The Arsenal no.8 has scored one goal in three Premier League matches and has given one assist in one Carabao Cup appearance so far this season.
Arsenal will take on AFC Wimbledon at the Emirates Stadium in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
