Arsenal face Brentford this weekend in a game that the Gunners should have earmarked as a victory.
This is a repeat of the opening game of the Premier League season, and while the Bees won 2-0 on that occasion, this is a very different Arsenal team they’re coming up against.
Indeed, the north London outfit have improved drastically since the opening weeks of this campaign, and a win here would only strengthen their chances of finishing in the top four.
However, as the opening day showed, Brentford are no pushovers, and if Arsenal are to win here, Mikel Arteta will need to get his team selection spot on.
With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Arsenal’s starting XI for this one.
We think that Arteta will make just two changes from the side that beat Wolves last time out.
Gabriel Martinelli’s suspension sees him drop out of the side as Emile Smith Rowe returns, and after Takehiro Tomiyasu was spotted back in training, he comes in for Cedric Soares.
Other than that, it’s the same team that beat Wolves 1-0 earlier this month.
Alexandre Lacazette will certainly be wanting to end his recent goal drought as he’s handed another opportunity to spearhead the attack.
