Arsenal face West Ham United on Sunday in a game that could have huge ramifications on the European qualification places in the Premier League.
The Gunners are fighting for a fourth-place spot, while West Ham still have a real chance of finishing in the top six, especially as Manchester United’s form recently has been absolutely dreadful.
At this point of the season, so many teams have nothing to play for, but for Arsenal and West Ham, their seasons are still hanging in the balance.
Mikel Arteta will have to pick the right team in order to get a win in this one, and with that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting the Gunners’ starting XI for this one.
We think that Mikel Arteta will make just one change from the side that beat Manchester United last weekend.
Gabriel Martinelli comes in for Emile Smith Rowe as we expect Mikel Arteta to attempt to exploit West Ham’s Europa League fatigue with his pace.
Other than that, it’s the same team that started against United, although that isn’t to say that Mikel Arteta doesn’t have a few selection headaches on his hands.
Perhaps the most notable decision he has to make is with Nuno Tavares. The full-back had a poor performance defensively against United last week despite scoring a goal, but due to continued fitness issues with Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu, we expect Tavares to start here.
