Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has told Football.London that Alexandre Lacazette will get back to his best form this season.
Arteta has said that Lacazette is fully involved in the Arsenal team despite being out of contract at the North London club at the end of the season.
The Arsenal boss is confident that the 30-year-old France international will explode this season and will be a big player in the team’s success.
Arteta told Football.London when asked if he is planning a team that does not involve Lacazette: “No, he’s fully involved.
“You gave the reasons why he hasn’t played more minutes. He will be back to the form that he can achieve. I’m sure that he will be instrumental in our success.”
Big player for Arsenal
Lacazette has not made a good start to the season and is struggling to get into the Arsenal starting lineup.
The former Lyon star missed the game against Brentford due to coronavirus.
The Arsenal no.9 has made one substitute appearance in the Premier League and one substitute appearance in the League Cup so far this season.
Lacazette has got to work hard to get into the Arsenal team, but it seems that Arteta trusts him.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is clearly the first-choice striker at Arsenal, but the North London club will need Lacazette if they are to at least challenge for the Premier League top six.
Who knows, perhaps the Frenchman could even earn a new contract at Arsenal in the coming months.
