Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has suggested to Football London that his side are not tactically flexible enough currently.
Arsenal switched formations to one which included a three-man defence last night, and the tactical change worked for Arteta’s men.
Arsenal picked up their first win since the Premier League restarted, as they beat Southampton 2-0.
And Arteta has suggested that he may keep tinkering with Arsenal’s system, although he wants his players to be able to play in more formations.
“We will change the game plan in relation to what we want to generate attacking-wise as well as how we constrain the opponent and control their strengths better,” he said.
“As well with the players we have, what’s the best fit for everyone to play in their positions and be more comfortable and secure about their jobs.
“We don’t have the flexibility I’d like right now to change more things but it’s part of the process.”

Arteta deserves a great deal of credit for leading Arsenal to victory last night in what were difficult circumstances.
The pressure had been growing on the Spaniard after a difficult run of results, but Arsenal stood firm last night and capitalised when chances came their way.
The Gunners scored through Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock, as they collected an important three points.
Arsenal have now moved up to ninth in the Premier League table, but they are still 11 points behind the top four.
