Mikel Arteta has revealed that Arsenal are still in the market for additional signings this summer.
Arsenal are looking very strong ahead of the start of the Premier League campaign.
The Gunners have scored 10 goals in their last two friendlies against Chelsea and Sevilla respectively, ahead of meeting Crystal Palace in five days.
Arteta and Edu have splashed £120 million on five players so far in the window but, according to the Spanish manager, there could yet be more business between now and the window shutting.
He told Sky Sports: “We are still hoping to do something else if the market allows us to do that. You have seen some movement in the as few days as well.
“We want to get the perfect balance and the plan we wanted from the beginning. Whether we accomplish that or not is another story.”
It’s this season or bust for Arteta at Arsenal.
Last summer, he spent more than any other manager in Europe and still finished fifth in the Premier League, despite having no European football last term.
This season, it’ll be much more difficult to qualify for the Champions League and although it’s looking certain that the squad has improved, is it now good enough to get back into the top four?
If not, this could – and probably will – be Arteta’s last year as Gunners manager.
