It wasn’t a brilliant night for Arsenal on Saturday.
The Gunners were held to a 0-0 draw away at Brighton & Hove Albion and even though it was certainly a case of one point gained, rather than two dropped, there were still negatives.
Firstly, Mikel Arteta’s side created very little going forward and nobody in an Arsenal shirt ever really looked like scoring.
And secondly, Bukayo Saka was spotted limping just before his substitution in stoppage time.
Is Saka injured?
But the good news is that according to Arteta, the 20-year-old winger doesn’t appear to be seriously hurt.
Speaking to Arsenal’s official website after the game, the Spanish coach played down fears of a major injury.
He said: “He got knocked, so they will check him. I don’t know how it is yet but he was able to walk so I don’t think it’s that bad.”
Good news
Arsenal absolutely cannot afford to lose any attacking players to injury, any goal threats.
That’s because in seven games, Arteta’s side have managed just five Premier League goals.
It’s a dreadful total so far, even if performances have been improving, and an injury to Saka would’ve only jeopardised their hope of finding the net a lot more regularly.
