Well, Arsenal will have Bukayo Saka available this weekend – and it’s bad news for Tottenham Hotspur.
Saka picked up a knock during the Gunners’ victory over Oxford United in the FA Cup this week.
Mikel Arteta confirmed afterwards that the player would be okay for Sunday’s visit to Spurs in the North London derby [HITC Sport].
But is that still the case today, 48 hours from the big day? In a word, yes.
Unfortunately for Tottenham, Arteta confirmed in six words that the Arsenal winger was going to be okay.
He told the Gunners’ official website: “I think he will be OK.”
The 21-year-old might be Arteta’s most dangerous player, having scored six and set up six in 17 Premier League outings this season.
It would’ve been a massive boost for Antonio Conte and Tottenham had he missed this North London derby but, unfortunately for them, he is ready.
Being top of the Premier League standings, Arsenal are likely to start the game as favourites to win.
Without Saka, that would’ve certainly affected the pre-game probabilities of victory.
Still only 21, Saka is a cracking player who even some Spurs supporters might agree is a difficult footballer to handle.
With Gabriel Jesus sidelined, someone like Saka could very easily provide the moment which decides a game like this.
And for that reason, Tottenham supporters will probably have preferred if he was unavailable.
