Arsenal fans have been left very anxious after it was confirmed that Martin Odegaard could play again this weekend against Turkey.
Odegaard picked up an ankle injury last night, but the problem is not thought to be keep him sidelined for long.
Indeed, Norway manager Stale Solbakken has suggested that he wants the playmaker back in his side at the weekend.
“I have a big hope that Martin will be fit for the game against Turkey on Saturday. Not a serious injury,” Solbakken said, as quoted by Goal.
Odegaard also said to Sporten TV that he should be fit to play in a couple of days time.
However, despite ostensibly being good news, Arsenal fans are now extremely concerned about the 22-year-old, and they just want him sent back to Colney to protect him against further injury scares.
Odegaard really does seem to be hitting his groove at Arsenal now so to lose him would be a huge blow to Mikel Arteta’s side.
The club will surely insist that Norway take no risks with his fitness, and only play him if he is fully recovered.
The playmaker has earned high praise from teammates, supporters and Arteta already during his time at the Emirates Stadium.
Odegaard picked West Ham apart in Arsenal’s last game, where they came back from 3-0 down to claim a point.
And it is widely expected that the attacking midfielder will have a key role to play for the Gunners between now and the end of the season.
