Will Arsenal be signing Gabriel Jesus now that Erling Haaland to Manchester City is a done deal?
Well, that’s what the Arsenal supporters – and media – want to know.
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s North London derby away to Tottenham, the Gunners manager Mikel Arteta was quizzed about whether Haaland to the Etihad now opened the door for him to sign the Brazilian hitman?
Here’s what the Spanish boss said via the club’s official website: “You know that I don’t talk about any players that are not with us.”

Well logically, it definitely makes sense.
With Haaland set to be a Sky Blue for the foreseeable future, that’ll no doubt have a detrimental impact on Gabriel Jesus’s chances of regular football at the Etihad Stadium.
Even before the Haaland announcement, Jesus to Arsenal had a lot of legs.
The Athletic reported back in April that the Gunners were favourites to sign the 25-year-old South American, who scored four goals in a single Premier League game last month.
Edu, also a Brazilian, is the one spearheading Arsenal’s pursuit of Jesus and it definitely does seem a lot more likely now that Guardiola has one hell of a replacement for him already signed up.
Arteta’s side could tremendously boost their chances of signing him by tomorrow, though.
Someone like Jesus is going to want Champions League football next season and if Arsenal beat Tottenham Hotspur in the derby, that’ll guarantee that they finish at least fourth in the Premier League.
Something like that would go a long way toward luring someone like the Brazilian and time will tell if they can do it tomorrow.
