Mikel Arteta has admitted to Football London that there are no guarantees that Arsenal defender David Luiz will play this evening.
Luiz was taken off with an injury in Arsenal’s last match against Sheffield United, and he has not quite shaken off the problem yet.
And Arteta says that Arsenal will now make a late decision over whether to risk the Brazilian or not.
“We don’t know, he was in pain the other day when he had to leave the pitch,” Arteta said.
“He’s not a player that normally does that so he was uncomfortable. We assessed him yesterday, he was a bit better but we don’t know. He had a scan too this morning [June 30] to see how bad it is.
“He’s very willing, he wants to play, he’s always like that but we will have to see how he is.”

Even if Luiz does make it back in time to feature for Arsenal there are no certainties that he will start.
Rob Holding has impressed recently for the Gunners, while Shkodran Mustafi must also have a strong chance of featuring.
Arsenal go into tonight’s game as heavy favourites to win against a Norwich City side who are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.
The Gunners could climb up as high as seventh in the table with a victory, and make it three wins on the spin, which would boost confidence.
