Arsene Wenger has labelled Juventus hitman, Dusan Vlahović, as a ‘very interesting’ player, months after he could have seemingly signed for Arsenal.
The former Arsenal boss told beIN SPORTS that Vlahović is a player he likes, after speaking about him alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
During the January transfer window, there was a lot of talk about Vlahović possibly moving to north London.
Even Lucas Torreira’s agent openly spoke about how Arsenal were ‘angry’ at missing out on the 22-year-old – both Torriera and Vlahović were playing alongside each other at Fiorentina, before his big-money transfer to Juventus.
Nonetheless, months after Arsenal seemingly missed out on one of the top strikers in world football, this is what their former boss had to say about the player.
“I must say that I like as well, Vlahović, who went to Juventus, the striker from Fiorentina,” said Wenger. “He’s very interesting as well.”

What makes matters worse for the Gunners is that Vlahović has started like a house of fire in Turin.
The all-action and technically gifted hitman has scored four goals and supplied one assist from his nine matches.
But Arsenal need to remember that they weren’t in a position to sign the player during the winter transfer window.
Come the summer, if Mikel Arteta can guide them to the Champions League, then they will be able to lure players in the same bracket as Vlahović to their club and that will then just elevate this ever-progressing young side even further.
