Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah is reportedly a target for a number of clubs, including Leeds United.

Arsene Wenger previously praised the ‘exceptional’ all-round qualities of Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, who is reportedly attracting the interest of Leeds United.
Leeds Live have claimed that the Championship club are keen on signing the highly-rated Arsenal forward on a season-long loan following the departure of Kemar Roofe, who left for Anderlecht.
Roofe’s move to Belgium’s top-tier has meant that he has left a gaping hole in Leeds’ forward line as he was arguably their best attacking player last season.
Well, if Nketiah is the man to replace Roofe then Leeds fans should be excited about Wenger’s comments on the Gunners man, who was given his debut by the Frenchman when he was managing the club.
“Eddie Nketiah is a striker who has a nose for the goal but he’s not only a goal-getter,” said Wenger, as quoted by the Metro. And that’s what is interesting with him.
“He has good physical qualities, he can combine with others, he can integrate a collective game at a very high level and, as well, he can get on the end of things and score in front of goal.

“So he has basic exceptional qualities but you have to show that in a consistent way. The next step for him is mental. ‘Show me that you’re motivated every day, show me that you’re hungry to become the player that you can become.”
There’s no doubt that Leeds need that extra firepower if they want to increase their chances of earning promotion to the Premier League this season.
Whilst they got off to the best of starts over the weekend when they beat Bristol City in convincing fashion, drop of form, injuries, amongst other things, will test this Leeds side over the course of the whole campaign.
