The Daily Mail claim that Arsenal want to sign Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy. Amiens have been relegated to Ligue 2 with the French season ending early, so he could be a bargain addition.
The 24-year-old has hit nine goals in 23 league games for Amiens this season, impressing as a well-rounded centre forward with power, pace and smart link-up.
Guirassy could be brought in a low-cost option, but they’ll certainly have to pay more than the price Arsene Wenger wanted to sign him for in 2016.
According to talkSPORT, Wenger was alerted to Guirassy’s displays at Auxerre, and was prepared to sanction a £1million move to sign the Frenchman.
No deal materialised, as Guirassy instead headed on to Koln. Guirassy has developed since then, and could finally make his way to North London – just at an inflated price after Wenger missed out four years ago.
