Arsene Wenger has admitted to BeIN Sports that tonight’s game between Arsenal and Villarreal will be ‘very strange’.

Arsenal take on their former manager Unai Emery in what is arguably their biggest game of the season so far later this evening.

The Gunners do so having to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first-leg.

But Wenger has given his former side a good chance to pulling off a comeback, even in what will be an odd occasion.

“It is very strange [Arsenal facing former manager Emery], it looks like an indoor Arsenal game, especially without supporters,” Wenger said.

“But overall you still have an advantage playing at home, in your stadium, you feel more comfortable.

“I would say Arsenal have enough offensive potential to win the game.

“You have so many strikers and people who can score goals and be creative. 2-1 is the result at the moment but you should be quite comfortable to change and reverse.”

If Arsenal do fail to win tonight then the pressure will ramp up on Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal’s poor season in the Premier League has seen questions asked of the Spanaird, but if he wins the Europa League then the Gunners will likely reflect on a positive campaign.

However, if Arsenal are to lose this evening it will be a bad look for Arteta to be defeated by the manager he replaced in North London.

If Arsenal are to comeback tonight then they will surely have to deliver an improved display on last week.

Arteta’s men started very slowly in Spain, and they simply cannot afford not to be on the front-foot right from minute one this evening.
