Tottenham defender has impressed the Arsenal manager.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hailed Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier as “top-class” ahead of Saturday’s North London derby.
Aurier was linked with a move to Arsenal earlier in his career and, although the Ivory Coast international has had a difficult start to his spell at Tottenham following his summer switch from Paris Saint-Germain, Wenger was full of praise for him.
As reported by Arsenal’s official website, Wenger said: “He’s a good player who has good power to go forward and is always dangerous. He played against us with PSG and overall I think he is a top-class right back.”

It remains to be seen whether Aurier will start for Tottenham at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, with Kieran Trippier more likely to feature from the outset.
However, it is clear that Aurier is very talented – he offers a considerable attacking threat with his pace and power and is also impressive defensively.

Despite those qualities, though, Aurier can show a lack of discipline at times – he was sent off against West Ham United earlier this season – and he can occasionally be guilty of pushing too far forward.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is renowned for helping players to improve and Aurier will certainly benefit immensely from working with the Argentine.
Going into Saturday’s game Tottenham are in third, three places and four points above Arsenal.
