Arsenal have one of the best squads for a number of years this season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has told the club’s official website that their quality and spirit on the bench makes this current team remarkably dangerous.

After another summer adding to his squad, the Gunners arguably have their best squad for a number of years.

They utilised the quality they have to great effect on Saturday afternoon as Olivier Giroud came off the bench to score a late equaliser in the draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The French international was not the only star man to come off the bench as Granit Xhaka and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were also substitutes in the game.

And Wenger says the options he has means Arsenal are always going to be dangerous until the very last minute.

“I think we have the quality and the spirit on the bench,” he told the club’s official website.

“The two together makes us remarkably dangerous until the last minute. Since the start of the season, look at the number of goals we’ve scored in the final five minutes. That is not a coincidence.”

Wenger will now be hoping that the strength in depth he does have can help his side maintain a title push over the busy festive period.

Following the draw with United, the Gunners are currently fourth in the table, two points behind joint leaders Liverpool and Manchester City.

With those two, as well as Chelsea, all pushing hard for the title themselves Arsenal have a job on to keep up and will need all of their resources to do so in the coming weeks.
