The Arsenal forward claimed he is as good as the world-class duo earlier this week.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has told the club’s official website that Alexis Sanchez has the quality and potential to be as good as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronald, but must find the consistency to do so.
The forward raised eyebrows this week by likening himself to the Barcelona and Real Madrid superstars.
While Sanchez has been a star in the Premier League since his arrival, it is fair to say he is far from reaching the levels reached by those two players.

Some would even say it is foolish of him to make such comparisons, but Wenger insists it is actually a good thing he has such lofty ambitions.
“Alexis is ambitious and is the sort of guy that wants to win every game,” he told the club’s official website.
“It is good to have that kind of ambition to be the best. He has the potential and the quality, but it is just up to him to show that.”

The onus is now on Alexis Sanchez to prove he is at the same level as those two superstars this season.
Each of the big teams have a superstar player in their squad in this campaign, none more so than Manchester United following the signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba.
Arsenal are arguably without one but have a collection of star players instead, and now is the time for Sanchez to make himself that superstar for the Gunners.
