Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed at his pre-match press conference, as reported by the Daily Mirror, that Hector Bellerin has been sidelined for four weeks.
Bellerin will be sidelined with an ankle injury meaning he will miss Saturday lunchtime’s clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford, as well as other Premier League games against Bournemouth, West Ham United, Stoke City, Everton and possibly Manchester City.
He’ll also miss the conclusion of Arsenal’s Champions League group stage campaign, as well as the EFL Cup quarter-final tie against Southampton.
Wenger is quoted by the Mirror, saying that Bellerin picked up his injury in the latter stages of the North London derby against Tottenham prior to the international break.
He said: “He was injured in the last 10 seconds against Spurs.”

Santi Cazorla remains sidelined with an achilles injury, with Wenger saying the Spaniard has yet to return to training, but there is more positive news on the fitness front when it comes to Alexis Sanchez – who should be fit to for Saturday’s game against Jose Mourinho’s side.
Sanchez had played for Chile – something which Wenger early called a ‘suicidal decision’ – but things seem to be positive.
Wenger said: “He text us back to say that he was in good shape, he came off after 84 minutes, and then we have to wait until tomorrow morning when we see him.”
