West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin in the January transfer window.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that midfielder Francis Coquelin could leave the north London club in the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old, joined the Gunners from French side Stade Lavallois in 2008, and has made over 150 appearances for the club.
However, with just one Premier League start to his name this season, he could leave the Gunners this month. And Wenger has confirmed that his transfer could be a possibility, adding “nothing is decided”.
“It’s a possibility, but nothing is decided,” said Wenger, as quoted by the Mirror (transfer live blog; 09/01/2018 – 10:09 am). It would not be for West Ham. We have no contact with West Ham.”
According to reports from Sky Sports, Premier League London rivals West Ham are interested in signing the midfielder. However, the Hammers are yet to lodge a formal bid.
In fact, they could face a strong competition from La Liga outfit Valencia. The Mirror reports that Los Che have already submitted an offer of £12 million for Coquelin, and they hope to get the deal done at the earliest.
