Arsenal fans are dying to see Thomas Partey back in action – and for good reason.

Since joining the Gunners in a £45 million deal in October, Partey has managed only 278 minutes of Premier League football across five appearances due to injury.

He hasn’t played for Arsenal since coming off injured during the defeat by Tottenham in December, which was his comeback game after also being withdrawn early against Aston Villa.

Given how much he cost and how good he is, fans of the Emirates Stadium club are desperate to see the Ghanaian powerhouse return – and there’s good news on that front.

Arsenal’s official website released a statement on their injured players ahead of tomorrow’s trip to West Bromwich Albion.

And although Partey remains unavailable, the coaching staff at London Colney expect him back in ‘full training’ next week.

The statement read: “Thomas has progressed well since the injury on December 6. He has started to train outside and will continue with his daily assessments and monitoring. We are hoping that Thomas will return to full training with the squad next week.”

Arsenal are on the crest of a wave right now and what a boost it could be to have Partey available later this month.

Mikel Arteta’s side have won their last two Premier League games after a dreadful run of form which saw them slip to 15th in the table, but the sooner Partey is available, the sooner they can continue rebuilding their season.
