Arsenal’s Unai Emery comments on David Luiz’s behaviour

Arsenal defender David Luiz scored the winning goal yesterday, as the Gunners beat Bournemouth.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has told Football London that David Luiz is so committed to the cause at the Emirates Stadium.

Luiz only joined Arsenal in the summer, and he has faced some criticism since his switch to the Gunners.

However, Emery thinks that Luiz shows a great attitude off the pitch, as he is often helping the younger players.

Emery said: “He is very positive. He is every time speaking about positive things. He is helping the young players.

“He came late in the squad but his commitment is very high, his behaviour.”

Luiz silenced some of his critics yesterday, as he helped Arsenal to a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth.

The Brazilian scored the only goal of the game early on and then helped Arsenal keep a clean-sheet.

Luiz’s place in Arsenal’s team is coming under threat, as Rob Holding is now back from injury.

However, his display yesterday should have done enough to keep him in the starting line-up after the international break.

Arsenal are currently in third place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Sheffield United.
