Wilshere has come under criticism for his lack of goals in recent times, but he seems to be improving in that area and his increased shooting accuracy is sure to help him out.

Wilshere has hit the target with 50% of his scoring attempts so far this season, making him the stand-out performer in this category for the Gunners so far.

The 22-year-old burst through as an attacking midfielder, but his role in midfield has become a deeper and deeper one with the England international showing a lack of goal-scoring instincts.

Arsene Wenger, however, may be encouraged to move him into a more advanced position given his accuracy in-front of goal.

His nearest challenger is Mesut Ozil, whilst Danny Welbeck has shown better finishing than Olivier Giroud so far this season.

Welbeck was brought in to add competition to Giroud and cover for the Frenchman whilst he was out injured, but he may have jumped ahead of him in the selection order when the injured man does eventually return.

Welbeck has hit the target with over 38% of his shots so far this campaign and it represents a decent finishing statistic for a player whose composure in front of goal has been questioned previously.

The worst performer in this category has been Calum Chambers, who has missed the target with every one of his five shots as he looks to open his account for his new club.
