The Arsenal man could make all the difference for West Bromwich Albion this season.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis will surely be active during the January transfer window, as he looks to build a squad capable of improving upon last season’s 10th placed finish in the Premier League table.
One particular area of Pulis’ squad that needs attention is his forward department, after he failed to supplement the early summer signing of Jay Rodriguez.
West Brom have scored just six goals in the league this season, and are in desperate need of an injection of pace in the final third.
And with this in mind, the Black Country outfit should consider a bold move for Gunners forward Theo Walcott, who has struggled for game-time at the Emirates so far this season.
The 28-year-old possesses blistering pace, and the electrifying manner in which he operates would undoubtedly provide the Baggies with an entirely different dimension to their attacking play.
The former Southampton academy graduate can play in the right wing role, or through the middle as a more orthodox striker, something that would provide Pulis with greater variety from a formation perspective.
Whilst he has barely been given an opportunity to shine at Arsenal this term, a move to the Hawthorns would surely present him with the chance of more regular football.
And with the World Cup in Russia on the horizon, Walcott would undoubtedly be fully motivated to show Gareth Southgate what he is truly capable of on a more regular basis.
And if Pulis manages to bring the Gunners ace to the club January, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for West Brom.
