Theo Walcott thanks the fans for their support following his long-awaited comeback from injury for Arsenal against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday.
Arsenal forward Theo Walcott is delighted to have finally made his comeback from injury.
The England international featured in a competitive match for the first time since January when he came on as a substitute against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Walcott played the final 10 minutes of the Premier League clash against the promoted side and gave a good account of himself, creating one chance and having a 100% shot accuracy.
It was the 25-year-old’s first competitive match in an Arsenal shirt since January 4, when he sustained a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee during a FA Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur.
Walcott was understandably overjoyed with his return from injury and took to social media to thank the Arsenal fans for their welcome at the Emirates.
Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League table with 17 points from 10 matches. The Gunners are back in action on Tuesday when they welcome Belgium club Anderlecht in the Champions League Group D.
