West Ham United should seriously consider a move for the Arsenal ace.
West Ham endured a woeful campaign in the Premier League last season, and they will need to make some shrewd signings this summer, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of challenging for the Europa League spots next term.
One particular area of concern for Manuel Pellegrini will be his central defensive options, with James Collins no longer at the club, Angelo Ogbonna on the wrong side of 30 and Winston Reid’s well-documented injury problems.
With this in mind, West Ham should consider a loan move for Arsenal ace Rob Holding.
The Gunners man would be an excellent addition to the Hammers’ squad, and it could be a move that would really benefit all parties involved.
Holding joined Arsenal from Bolton Wanderers in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £2.5 million, but his first-team opportunities have been limited, with just 18 Premier League starts to his name.
At the age of 22, he really does need to be playing regular first-team football, and a loan move to West Ham would provide him with the chance of achieving just that.
Holding is a real warrior of a centre-back, and never shies away from a physical battle with his opponents.
He is strong in the air, and is a competent reader of the game.
The Arsenal man would be a great partner for young Declan Rice at the heart of West Ham’s defence, and a loan move to the London Stadium would also benefit the Gunners, in the sense that he will be given the chance to impress on a more regular basis than he would at the Emirates.
