Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe has described last night as a ‘great success’ on Instagram, as he bounced back from his red card at the weekend.
Pepe came under fire after he was sent off in Arsenal’s game against Leeds United on Sunday evening for an off the ball incident.
Mikel Arteta called Pepe’s actions ‘unacceptable’ but the Spaniard offered Arsenal’s record signing the chance to make amends for his mistake yesterday and he did so.
Pepe put in a man of the match performance and scored, as Arsenal beat Molde 3-0 in the Europa League.
And the 25-year-old was keen to celebrate an improved performance on social media website Twitter.
Last night was also a special occasion for Folarin Balogun, who opened his Arsenal goalscoring account.
The youngster came off the bench to net Arsenal’s final goal, as he made an immediate impact.
Arsenal’s victory now means that they have sealed their qualification to the next round, with two games still left to play in the group stage.
