The German star is far ahead of his nearest challengers David Silva and Santi Cazorla.
If there is one player who shone during 2015, it is Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil.
The German has started this season on fire, registering an impressive 16 assists in 19 games so far.
That has put him top of the assist charts, and he has already enjoyed double the amount of nearest challenger, Kevin de Bruyne.
In fact, with 2015 now coming to a close Ozil has clocked up the most assists of any Premier League player across the calendar year.
He finished the year with 20 assists to his name, with the four from last season adding to this season’s imposing tally to put him top of the charts.
He also dominated the tables when it comes to chances created, with him having registered 136 in 2015.
| Team | Goal Assist | Total Att Assist | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mesut Özil | Arsenal | 20 | 136 |
| David Silva | Man City | 12 | 90 |
| Santiago Cazorla | Arsenal | 11 | 72 |
| Marc Albrighton | Leicester | 9 | 65 |
| Chris Brunt | West Brom | 9 | 44 |
| Jamie Vardy | Leicester | 9 | 42 |
| Ross Barkley | Everton | 8 | 52 |
| Kevin De Bruyne | Man City | 8 | 51 |
| Riyad Mahrez | Leicester | 8 | 58 |
| Matthew Phillips | QPR | 8 | 33 |
Both of those stats put him far ahead of his main rival, Manchester City’s David Silva, with the Spaniard managing 12 assists across the year and 90 chances created.
He also leaves fellow Gunners teammate Santi Cazorla in the dust, with him managing 11 assists and 72 chances created over 2015.
