Well, Arsenal might not be part of a European Super League after all.

That’s because if rumours are to be believed, there will not be one any longer.

According to talkSPORT, all 12 clubs involved in the ESL are in talks to disband the project after Chelsea and Manchester City reportedly pulled out of the venture.

Manchester United are reported to have joined them and Ed Woodward’s resignation as vice-chairman might back up that rumour.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are not yet reported to have pulled out but, the way things are going, it seems only a matter of time.

Here’s how Hector Bellerin reacted on Twitter tonight, posting a cryptic message about an Arsene Wenger quote.

On Sunday, Arsenal, one of the founding members of the European Super League, announced on their social media platforms that they would no longer be competing in UEFA competition, along with five other Premier League clubs in a revelation which sent shockwaves around the football world and even provoked a negative reaction from Boris Johnson and Prince William.
