Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has messaged Serge Gnabry, after he destroyed Tottenham Hotspur last night.
Bellerin and Gnabry played together at Arsenal during their teenage years, and the Spanish defender couldn’t help but be impressed by his former teammate last night.
Gnabry scored four times as Bayern won 7-2 against Spurs in north London.
And Bellerin only had praise for the former Arsenal man after the contest.
Gnabry failed to make much of an impact on Arsenal’s first team during his time at the Emirates, but he has gone from strength to strength since leaving.
The rapid winger is now clearly one of the most dangerous attackers in Europe, and his display for Bayern last night really highlighted his quality.
Gnabry tortured Tottenham right-back Serge Aurier, who simply could not live with him throughout the contest.
Arsenal will have their turn in Europe on Thursday night, when they take on Standard Liege in the Europa League.
