The Premier League side secured a fairly comfortable victory in California.
Rob Holding celebrates after scoring in Arsenal’s win over Chivas
Arsenal rounded off their tour of America with an impressive 3-1 victory over Mexican side Chivas at the StubHub Center in California.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain got on the scoresheet with a stunning goal
Arsene Wenger’s side – who also beat MLS All-Stars on Friday – secured the win after goals from summer signing Rob Holding and Chuba Akpom came either side of a stunning solo strike from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain before the opponents grabbed a consolation from the penalty spot.
Although there are once again concerns about the lack of marquee arrivals at the Emirates this summer, the victory over Chivas would have undoubtedly alleviated some of the concerns about some of the players heading into the new campaign.
Chuba Akpom celebrates scoring Arsenal’s third goal
Before joining the Gunners earlier in the window, Holding was preparing for a season in League One with Bolton Wanderers, while there were arguably concerns about whether Oxlade-Chamberlain’s career was beginning to stagnate.
And while the win will certainly not have put all of the doubts to bed, the fact that the winger displayed his class with a wonderful goal while Holding has confirmed that he clearly has plenty of potential with his two performances on the trip will surely help build some optimism going into their final pre-season games and the new Premier League campaign.

And two of the goalscorers were amongst those who took to Twitter to reflect on the tour, and the win in particular.
