Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has praised one England teammate who is rumoured to be starting for the Three Lions this evening.
Gareth Southgate’s England have not started the 2024 European Championships in goalscoring form with the Three Lions netting just twice in games against Serbia and Denmark.
Jude Bellingham scored for England in their opening game victory against Serbia whilst Harry Kane netted in the 1-1 draw against Denmark at the Frankfurt Arena.
As England prepare for their final group game against Slovenia, changes are rumoured to be made with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s midfield experiment reportedly set to come to an end.

Rice praises Conor Gallagher’s ability on the ball
As Alexander-Arnold looks set to drop to the bench, The Athletic have reported that Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is set to replace Liverpool’s vice-captain.
Gallagher has been brought on in back to back games and Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has spoken about his potential new midfield partner.
“Look, obviously you’ve seen Conor Gallagher’s season this year at Chelsea and if he does start I think you’re going to see exactly what he done at Chelsea this year,” Rice told talkSPORT.
“He surprised a lot of people. On the ball, off the ball, what he gives for the team, how unselfish he is.
“I know Gareth loves him. Equally as much he loves Trent as well and he loves all the other midfield players he can pick from.
Gallagher set to start ahead of Wharton and Mainoo
It is not surprising to see Alexander-Arnold dropped from the Three Lions squad but it is perhaps a surprise we have yet to Adam Wharton nor Kobbie Mainoo given a chance.
Considering how well the pair have done for Crystal Palace and Manchester United, Southgate has yet to give either player a real go in the middle of the park.
Instead, Gallagher, who has seven goals and nine assists in his 50 appearances for the Blues last season, is set to start alongside Rice in the pivot role.
