With this in mind, Wolves should consider a move for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck, with the England international set to be part of a cull at the Emirates, according to the Telegraph.
The 27-year-old has struggled with injuries over the past few years, but he seems to have returned to somewhere near his best from a physical perspective, and he could be a useful asset for Nuno’s side this season.
Welbeck possesses blistering pace, and has the ability to stretch the opposition’s defence – something that none of Wolves’ current crop of strikers can offer them.
The England international also has a wealth of experience of playing in England’s top flight, and with Wolves’ lack of proven Premier League pedigree, that could really come in handy.
The Gunners star has just one year remaining on his current contract with Arsenal, so Wolves just might be able to get him on the cheap.
And he would provide Nuno with an entirely different option up front this season.
