Everton and Newcastle United reportedly want to sign Danny Welbeck from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

According to The Times, Everton are interested in signing Danny Welbeck from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, while Newcastle United want the 27-year-old forward, claims TEAMtalk.
Welbeck has failed to play regularly for Arsenal since his move from Manchester United in the summer of 2014 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £16 million, and the England international forward is only going to struggle next season as well.
It would make sense for the 27-year-old to leave the Gunners this summer, and the former United forward – who earns £70,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – should pick Everton over Newcastle.
Newcastle are a massive club and have a brilliant manager in Rafael Benitez, but the Magpies struggled for survival in the Premier League last season.

Benitez’s side could struggle this season as well, while Everton will be aiming to challenge for the top six.
True, the presence of a quality striker in Cenk Tosun would make it hard for Welbeck to establish himself in the Everton starting lineup, but the Englishman would be playing for an ambitious club and for an attack-minded manager in Marco Silva.
