The Arsenal defender would be a useful addition to the Everton squad this summer.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman
The Toffees could find themselves short in the right-back position next season, with Seamus Coleman ruled out for a prolonged period, after sustaining a broken leg a couple of months ago.
Mason Holgate is expected to fill in for the Irishman, but at just 20-years-old, he might find that task a little too demanding, both mentally and physically.
With this in mind, Ronald Koeman would be well served in adding another right sided defender to his squad this summer, and the Dutchman should target Gunners man Carl Jenkinson, who is reportedly available for transfer, according to the Metro.

The 25-year-old right-back has always showcased determination and 100 per cent commitment, whichever club he has played for, and his playing style would fit in perfectly to Koeman’s philosophy, where he expects his full-backs to contribute both defensively and offensively.
Now is the ideal time for the former Charlton Athletic man to leave Arsenal permanently, because it is quite clear that he has no future in north London, and Goodison Park could be the perfect place for him to flourish.
Jenkinson’s presence amongst the Blues squad would take the pressure off of Holgate’s shoulders, and in turn, go a long way to aiding the development of the young Everton star.
Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and Carl Jenkinson
He has just one year remaining on his current deal at the Emirates, so Everton shouldn’t have too much trouble in coming up with a package that would tempt Arsenal into selling.
Despite the Merseyside outfit being linked with far more glamorous names than Jenkinson, his signing could prove to be one of the most important that Koeman might make this summer.
