Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has told Chelsea defender Reece James on Instagram ‘back stronger’ after he was ruled out of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Chelsea right-back won’t return in time from a knee injury and he has already been informed by England boss Gareth Southgate that he won’t be part of his final squad.
The Three Lions boss has finalised his 26-man squad and he will inform England supporters about the news on Thursday afternoon.

Arsenal flyer Bukayo Saka is expected to be named after being part of previous squads and Euro 2020, including taking his game to another level this season.
Nonetheless, when Reece James posted that he had ‘worked harder than I ever thought I could’ in order to get back, Saka told his national teammate in the comments section to ‘(come) back stronger bro’.
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville made it clear to James ‘you will play in many World Cups with the talent that you have’, whilst Jude Bellingham posted a sad-faced emoji to the 22-year-old.
JAMES’ TIME WILL COME AGAIN
For any player now having to miss out, it’s going to hurt, especially given that they know, without injury, then they are on that plane to Qatar.
Not only would James have been selected, but it could have been argued that he would have been starting against Iran.
But what is one man’s loss is another man’s gain, as this door will open one for somebody else now that James is out of the picture.
