Petr Cech
While David Seaman was an incredible goalkeeper for the Gunners, the man that wears the gloves now is arguably the greatest stopper the Premier League has ever seen.
Arriving from Chelsea in 2015, Petr Cech has come up trumps on numerous occasions for Arsenal during his short career at the Emirates, but his stats speaks for itself, with the Czech keeper holding the record for the most clean sheets in Premier League history.
Lee Dixon
Signed by George Graham in 1988, Lee Dixon remained a consistent figure in the Arsenal back four up until his retirement in 2002.
In his final season at Highbury, Dixon won the league and cup double with Arsenal, ending his career at the age of 38. The England international made 305 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, and can now be seen on ITV as a pundit.
Tony Adams
A former Arsenal and England captain, Romford-born Tony Adams is a legend in red.
Adams spent his whole career at Arsenal, signing as a schoolboy in 1980, before retiring in 2002 having won the league and cup double with Dixon.
The defender went on to have an unsuccessful career in management, but will always be held in the highest regard by Arsenal, where he is immortalised with a statue outside of the Emirates Stadium.
Sol Campbell
Having done the unthinkable and left Tottenham to join Arsenal, Sol Campbell went from rival player to Gunners hero.
The centre back had two spells at Arsenal, including the 2003/04 Invincibles season. Campbell also scored in the 2006 Champions League final, where Arsenal were eventually beaten by Barcelona.
Campbell ended his career at Newcastle in 2011, but will always be remembered for his time at the back for Arsenal.
Ashley Cole
Is there a better left back in Premier League history than Ashley Cole?
In a word, no. Although he is anything but a fan-favourite in North London now after his move to Chelsea in 2006, no one can doubt the ability of the former England international.
Making his debut in 1999, Cole won two league titles under Wenger where he was part of their double winning team in 2002 and the Invincibles in 2004.
Patrick Vieira
In what was an illustrious career, former skipper Patrick Vieira spent the bulk of his time at Arsenal, joining in 1996 before leaving in 2005 to sign for Juventus.
During his time at Arsenal, the Frenchman won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and four Community Shields, before going on to win three Serie A crowns with Inter Milan.
The World Cup winner was named Premier League player of the season in 2001, and has arguably never been replaced by Wenger.
Cesc Fabregas
Another World Cup winner, Cesc Fabregas made his name at Arsenal after signing as a youngster from Barcelona.
The playmaker went on to captain the Gunners in 2008 until he returned to Barcelona in 2011. The Spaniard’s vision and passing ability made him the perfect centrepiece to Wenger’s footballing side, but is now often booed when he returns to the Emirates, having signed for rivals Chelsea in 2014, where he managed to win his only Premier League title.
Mesut Ozil
Joining in 2013 from Real Madrid, Mesut Ozil is the most expensive player in Arsenal history.
Often criticised for his work rate, the German midfielder has always managed to silence his critics with his obscene amount of assists.
The 27-year-old’s radar is remarkable, seeing passes that no one else can see, making him a nightmare for opposition defenders. Ozil is a World Cup winner, but is yet to claim the Premier League with Arsenal.
Alexis Sanchez
The third current Arsenal player in this XI, Alexis Sanchez has become a talisman for Gunners fans since he arrived from Barcelona in 2014.
The Chilean forward’s infectious energy and love for the game has made him a hero in North London, as well as in incredible goalscoring record which has seen him net 30 Premier League goals in 68 appearances.
Now donning the number seven, any success that Arsenal have this season will depend on the form of Sanchez.
Dennis Bergkamp
Dutch forward Dennis Bergkamp is one of the most glorious, technically gifted players ever to grace the Premier League.
Arriving from Inter Milan in 1995, Bergkamp on three league titles and four FA Cups under Wenger, as well as scoring one of the best goals in Arsenal history.
His strike against Newcastle in 2002 will never be forgotten for the way he flicked the ball past Nikos Dabizas. The Dutchman ended his career at Arsenal in 2006, and his partnership with another striker will be remembered as one of the best duos in Premier League history.
Thierry Henry
The man in question is Thierry Henry.
Henry is quite simply an Arsenal icon. World Cup winner, Premier League winner, Arsenal’s all time leading goal scorer, captain and legend.
The French striker scored 175 Premier League goals for the Gunners, the top non-English scorer in history, and will always be known as an Arsenal and Premier League great.
