Tottenham striker Harry Kane has surpassed all expectations already in his career, winning the golden boot twice already and is gunning for a third.

He has every Premier League team in the country scrambling to find their own homegrown hero – and Arsenal are the same.

Arsenal have high hopes for young striker Eddie Nketiah, and the teenager’s route to stardom began on Thursday night.

The 17-year-old came off the bench to make his first team debut in the Europa League win over BATE Borisov, and more first team opportunities beckon.

Nketiah has been prolific at youth team level for club and country. He has seven goals in four games for England’s under-18 and under-19 sides.

He has three goals in five games for Arsenal’s under-23s this season, and last year netted 24 goals in 35 games at youth level for the Gunners.

Arsenal have such high hopes for him that he may even bypass Kane’s route to stardom via the loan system, and go straight into the first team.

Tottenham’s Kane has haunted Arsenal repeatedly in North London derby matches in recent seasons, and they have not found a way to stop him.

It may take a little while for Nketiah to become a first team regular for Arsenal, but the teenager has a strong opportunity of emulating the Tottenham ace.
