Arsenal starlet Kaylen Hinds is on the verge of joining Wolfsburg after flying out to Germany for talks and a medical at the Bundesliga club, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Former Arsenal academy chief Andries Jonker is now in charge of Wolfsburg and he is a big admirer of Hinds having worked with him at the Emirates.

Jonker believes Hinds is one of the brightest young prospects at Arsenal and he has moved quickly to offer him the chance to fast-track his career in Germany.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has given the green light for the move to go ahead and Wolfsburg are understood to have agreed a fee in the region of £2million for the England youth international.

Hinds, who has come through the ranks at Arsenal, signed his first professional contract with the Gunners in January.

The 19-year-old has yet to make his first-team debut for Arsenal and he spent the second half of last season out on loan at League Two Stevenage.

Hinds is now set to become the second Arsenal youngster to move abroad to continue his career after ex-Arsenal team-mate Chris Willock joined Benfica last week.
